The “Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery Education” with 13 years’ experience in the field of bariatric surgery has attracted international cooperation of some scientists and researchers active in this field.
Moreover it has about 9 years of scientific-research activity in the form of the "Minimally Invasive Surgical Sciences Journal" which has been renamed to “Annals of Bariatric Surgery" since 2020. Therefor it has the opportunity to publishes high quality articles by specifying the scope of the journal in the field of bariatric surgery.

Aims and scope |
Annals of Bariatric Surgery (ABS) is an Open Access clinical journal officially published by the Center of Excellence for MIS Education of Iran University of Medical Sciences and Iranian Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (IRSMBS) and Global Laparoscopy & Robotics (GLR). This is an international journal aimed to publish high-quality peer-reviewed manuscripts about the effects of bariatric and metabolic procedures on weight loss, obesity-related comorbidities, nutritional and psychosocial outcomes. The Editorial Board includes internationally prominent individuals who are an expert member of multidisciplinary team for treatment of morbid obese patients including bariatric surgeons, internists, gastroenterologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, sport medicine physicians, bariatritions, anesthesiologist, and nutritional experts. Manuscripts are blindly reviewed by related experts. |
